Problem - Console No clean, "punchy" audio signal on Mon A, Mon B, Mon C
Description We activate the oscillator and create a clean sine wave and send it to channel 1. We measure a sine wave at Mon A (C65,C66) at Mon B (C67,C68) and at Mon C (C69,C70). But this sine wave looks different now, it is thick! But the sine wave must be a thin line, just like at the beginning. Op amps have capacitors. These prevent the opamp itself from oscillating and making noise. The circuit diagram says that 15 picofarad capacitors should be installed. But this does not work. I install a capacitor with 10 picofarads -> does not work. I install a capacitor with 20 picofarads -> does not work. I install a capacitor with 30 picofarads -> it works!!! I.e. C65,C66,C67,C68,C69,C70 now get 30 picofarad capacitors. The signal is now absolutely clean!
